Property Manager

New Orleans, LA

RUN THE PROPERTY. LEAD THE TEAM. SHAPE THE RESIDENT EXPERIENCE.

At VPG, our Multi-Family Property Managers don't just oversee buildings — they shape how residents live. We're looking for an experienced, dedicated leader who can run strong day-to-day operations, build lasting resident relationships, and drive property performance while staying fully compliant.

You'll own the daily operations of your assigned properties: leading leasing efforts, partnering with maintenance and make-ready teams, managing budgets, and making sure every property is safe, well-maintained, and a place residents want to stay. This is a role for someone who balances customer service with operational discipline and can manage many moving pieces at once.

If you're a customer-centric property management leader who knows how to turn great service into strong results, let's talk.

● Use property management software (Yardi) to track leases, maintenance requests, and tenant communications efficiently.

● Collaborate with maintenance teams to oversee facilities management and ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.

● Prepare and manage budgets for each property while monitoring expenses to optimize profitability.

● Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to safety standards.

● Develop and implement customer service strategies that enhance tenant satisfaction and retention.

● Maintain accurate records of property operations, financial transactions, and tenant interactions.

● Coordinate with the make-ready team to move between assignments, purchase supplies, and conduct quality walk-throughs.

● Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

● Strong administrative skills with attention to detail in managing documentation and reports.

● Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi or similar platforms.

● Excellent customer service skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships with tenants and stakeholders.

● Sales acumen to effectively market properties and close leasing agreements.

● Knowledge of relevant laws governing property management, including fair housing regulations.

● Understanding of the property leasing process from marketing through lease execution.

● Experience in facilities management to ensure properties are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.

● Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems to track tenant interactions.

● Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance tasks.

● Valid driver's license.

Preferred Experience:

● 2+ years of property management experience required.

● Experience managing multi-family residential properties.

● Familiarity with Section 8 housing requirements.

What Success Looks Like:

● Properties are safe, well-maintained, and consistently meet company standards.

● Residents feel heard, concerns are resolved promptly, and retention is strong.

● Units are marketed, leased, and turned efficiently with strong team coordination.
